Harry also serves as the Victorian Committee member for the bi-national RANZCP Section of Rural Psychiatry and sits on the Barwon Health and Deakin University CHIME expert advisory group.
Here’s what Harry has to say:
“Growing up in North East Victoria, I developed a deep connection to rural communities and a strong passion for rural health. I believe that understanding the unique needs of regional and local communities is key to effective mental health reform. By creating evidence-based, locally tailored solutions that maximize available resources and align with community goals, we can achieve meaningful and sustainable improvements in mental health outcomes. Returning home to contribute to the creation of a new and innovative service for my local community is a source of immense pride.”
Harry continues, “Joining the Victorian Farmers Federation Mental Health Handbook Work Committee is a natural extension of my commitment to rural mental health. I am honoured to contribute to an initiative that supports the mental well-being of our farming communities, who often face significant challenges. This handbook represents an important step towards ensuring that all Victorians, regardless of where they live, have access to the mental health resources they need.”
