When our Farm Safety Advisors do a walk-through at a farm, one of the first things they look for are the Emergency Procedure Plan documents in the sheds.

There are 3 Key Ingredients for your farm’s Emergency Procedure Plan:

• A personalised Emergency Phone Numbers poster
• The CFA’s Standard Fire Orders signage
• A floor plan of your farm with the Emergency Assembly Point and safe routes marked

These 3 together are regarded by authorities as being a basic set of procedures for emergency situations.

Place this poster inside your sheds near the doors, along with your Emergency Phone Numbers signage, and a floor plan.  Doing this won’t take much time, but it will go a long way towards making you and your employees safer.
